Scope

This policy applies to homeservicecompass.com and information submitted directly to Home Service Compass. A contractor, referral partner, advertising platform, call platform, or other third party has its own privacy practices.

Information we collect

Information you provide

The contact form may collect your first name, email address, optional phone number, property ZIP code, requested service category, project description, consent choice, and any other information you choose to include. If phone service is made available, call routing and campaign systems may process phone number, call time, duration, routing data, and call disposition.

Information collected automatically

Our hosting, security, analytics, and advertising systems may process IP address, browser and device details, referring page, pages viewed, timestamps, approximate location derived from IP, ad or campaign identifiers, and cookie or similar technology data. The contact endpoint records a one-way hash of the IP address and limited browser information for rate limiting, security, and abuse prevention.

How we use information

• Respond to a website question or process a new-service request.
• Check category and location-based provider availability.
• Route or refer an eligible request to an independent provider or referral partner.
• Measure advertising and referral performance, prevent duplicate or fraudulent requests, and secure the site.
• Comply with law, enforce our terms, and establish or defend legal claims.

When information is disclosed

If you ask for a provider connection, relevant contact and project information may be disclosed to an independent provider, call-routing platform, affiliate network, lead or referral partner, or service that helps determine availability. Those parties may contact you about the request you submitted.

We may also disclose information to hosting, security, analytics, form-processing, advertising, and professional-service vendors; in a business transfer; or when reasonably necessary to comply with law or protect rights and safety.

Advertising, referrals, and state-law classification

Home Service Compass may receive compensation for advertising, qualified calls, leads, referrals, or purchases. Depending on the state and the technology involved, disclosure of identifiers or service-request information for advertising or referral purposes may be treated as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising even when no money is paid for the information itself.

Your privacy choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of certain personal information; opt out of sale, sharing, or targeted advertising; or appeal a denied request. Submit a request through our contact form and select "Website question." State that it is a privacy request and identify the email address used with the site. We may need to verify the request.

You can also limit cookies through browser settings and use advertising-platform controls. Browser signals are not guaranteed to control data already sent directly in a service request, because sharing that request may be necessary to provide the connection you asked for.

Retention and security

We retain information only as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute handling, security, and recordkeeping. Retention may vary by data type and partner requirement. We use administrative and technical safeguards, but no internet transmission or storage method is completely secure.

Children

This site is intended for adults arranging home services and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

A third-party website, provider, advertising platform, or referral partner controls its own services and privacy practices. Review its policy before providing additional information or purchasing.
